going skiing?
i’m looking at going skiing mid 2009. our ages vary from a teen to someone in their 50′s.. dont have a clue about resorts which would be VFM.. TRYING TO KEEP IT AS LOW AS POSS AS I AM FOOTING THE BILL… I WANT TO DO VARRIED ACTIVITIES AND WE WOULD HAVE TO HIRE EQUIPMENT
If you want to keep it cheap but still fun, go to a medium-sized resort nearish to where you live, if possible. I can’t recommend any specific places, since I don’t know what country or region you live in.
Look at snow.yahoo.com and they will tell you the elevation difference from top to bottom, elevation at the top, number of trails, % breakdown between beginner/intermediate/advanced/expert, and number of acres. The breakdown will probably be one of the more important features for you – if you’re all beginners you don’t want to go to a place that has only 8% beginner trails.
