getting air out the hose while siphoning gas?
the girlfriend has been nagging me to mow the lawn and i decided to get the gas out of her car but when i try to siphon it with a hose the air in the hose keeps breaking the pressure. i suck until the gas comes out, but theres always an air pocket which kills it. any tips on how to get rid of the air pocket?
Stay low to the ground, seriously just keep trying you’ll get it. Tweak the hose to make sure you are in solid fluid and suck short, quick, and hard. Look into this man, it is cheap and save you a couple mouthfuls of gas when you have to do it. You can just put a extension hose using a straight nylon (plastic) union (home depot plumbing) if the inlet hose isn’t long enough for you. Works real nice, I’m a mechanic. Otherwise just go to the gas station.
