If Trained properly can a Lab be a good watch dog and a family dog?
On Saturday night,i was in my living room when i heard something down stairs in my parents shop(like a banging on a medal pipe).So I got some car keys and set off the car alarm to scare whom ever it was away , and then we did’nt hear the noise anymore. So yesterday night my step dad went down to the shop and looked around i doscovered that all of our families Christmas presents were missing(this is where he hinds them every year).
My lab makes people cross the street when we go for a walk. Not an aggressive bone in his body, but he’s a moose, and he’s black which adds to it. (Black Dog Syndrome)
He also has this deep ear shattering bark which makes him sound even louder.
Is he a good watch dog, sure he lets me know when someone is around. If the person was actually brave enough to approach him would he make them leave, highly unlikely. He’d go into a OMG a person! pet me pet me pet me excited wiggle butt mode.
