Vegas hotels, Excalibur vs. Imperial?
Which should i stay at? they are both in my price range.. i want it to be a good spot for my kids and parents.. we’re having 15 people in our party. are the rooms nice? any more details would be helpful? i’m on a budget but want to be in the right spot of the strip.
Really depends on what you want.
I have stayed at both hotels, and they both have some nice advantages for your situation. Excalibur is excellent for the kids, if they are about 8 to 15. They have a fantastic arcade, the shows there are great, especially the dinner/knight show, and the rooms are OK. Nothing special, not that large, but clean and generally presentable. Good pool there also where everyone can hang out at..
Main advantage for the Imperial is the location. Right in the middle of the strip. However, Excalibur is not in a shabby location either. MGM, M and M World and New York, New York are all nearby there, with things to do.
I thought the Imperial’s rooms were a bit smaller than the Excalibur, and a bit more smoke ridden, but the price was very decent for the location. I had no complaints per se, but when I went to the Imperial, I went alone, and there is not as much for the kids to do. I have been to the Excalibur with the kids when they were 8 and 11, and they had a lot of fun!
Since you mentioned the kids and parents part of it, I would choose the Excalibur over the Imperial because of the extra amenities.
