Which one would you pick to store your drinking water?

Which plastics (PETE, Polypropylene, polycarbonate, etc) used to make plastic bottles is the safest to store drinking water? I recently read that plastics made of PVC rank amongst the worst offenders for leaching toxic cancer-causing substances into the food. It seems that we read about what’s bad for you but no real alternatives are offered to protect the general public.

Actually, your bigger stores like Wal-Mart or Dick’s Sporting Goods will have these really neat aluminum-lined water bottles that are way safer for you to drink out AND much more environmentally friendly since you wash them and reuse them instead of tossing them out. Look into it. I’ve got a 64 oz bottle I nip water from all day long…just pour some out into my glass.
