How do I get the thread from snapping back up to the machine?

I just had my machine cleaned and working, every time I go to sew it will sew for a little while and then it snaps back up into the machine and I keep having to thread the needle of the machine over and over. What is going on here? Is it catching on something or do I have a thick thread making it hard for it to spool out? Any ideas on how to get it from doing this?

sounds like the tension is too tight or the bobbin is in backwards…
