How can I tell if my mirror advertisement for 5 cent Coca-Cola is old or recent?

I have an advertisement painted on the reverse side of mirror that looks like one of the old ads Coca Cola might have used.
The only thing that makes me think it isn’t old is a unpainted section that has an old time picture taped to the back of it for a 5 cent Coca Cola. She’s removable and the paper itself feels fairly new. Can anyone direct me to the best place to date this?

Well the taped paper could be new and the mirror old. However, there are *a lot* of reproductions of these out there. Any antique dealer could tell you on sight if it’s old or new. There is a different look to the older glass, mercury silver backing (which might have turned dark in areas) for the mirror, the color of the paint, and in a repro often a small trademark printing (though that could be on an older piece as well but will be on a newer one). The best I can tell you for sure – since I can’t see it – is take it to a dealer or check out a collectors book (there are many) price guide to see if your item is in there.
