should I buy a Good conditioned First Edition, or minor wear/edging new second edition?

I was a little foolish and didn’t buy The Dark Tower IV, Wizard & Glass by Stephen King in HC last year when it was still in print. and Now that it’s out of print I can only choose between a first edition limited hardcover, that has some top edge staining but Clean interior or New copy of the 2nd edition that’s listed as having some “Off shelf condition- minor wear & bumps , slight edging due to customer handling – otherwise an excellent copy”

First editions are usually the only books worth collecting. you have the choice of an American First or a U.K. First Edition. Hodder and Stoughton is the U.K. publisher. Donald Grant is the American F.E. publisher
